For all our shattered hopes and trying times,
Anchor's weight on inspired lives.
Deadbolts on doors lock away our
Peace of mind.
So few, so few moments of freedom,
With ages in between,
And sterilized routines.
I am so sick of these nights pretending

It's just the way life has to be.
While we sacrifice our dreams
For safety nets,
Answers without questions asked.
Faces on floors, tears for days we can't get back.
So few, so few moments of freedom,
With ages in between,
And sterilized routines.
The lights dim down so low, grief piles high.
No sign of certainty, treading seas of crooked smiles.
Looking deep into the greenest eyes.
Blurring lines with truths that lie.
Like wolves in sheep's disguise,
Out with the claws.
One step.
One breath.
May be all that I have left.

White knuckles to the end,
This is our revenge.

Overall Meaning

The song "Plot Two" by With Honor is an emotional commentary on the struggles and sacrifices that individuals make in order to maintain a sense of safety and security in their lives. The lyrics describe shattered hopes and trying times, with an anchor's weight on inspired lives. The deadbolts on doors serve to lock away peace of mind, leaving few moments of freedom in between ages of sterilized routines. The singer expresses weariness with pretending that this is just the way life has to be, sacrificing dreams for safety nets and accepting answers without questions asked.

The latter half of the song takes a darker turn, with the lights dimming down and grief piling high. The lack of certainty leaves the singer treading seas of crooked smiles, looking deep into the greenest eyes and blurring lines with truths that lie. The metaphor of "wolves in sheep's disguise" is used to illustrate the need to shed societal expectations and embrace one's true self, out with the claws. The final lines of the song express a determination to keep going despite the challenges, clinging to each step and breath as potentially one's last. This is framed as a form of revenge against the forces that have tried to hold the singer down.

Overall, "Plot Two" is a powerful song that speaks to the universal experience of struggling to balance personal needs with obligations to others and society at large. It highlights the emotional toll this can take and encourages listeners to push back against those who seek to limit their potential.

I would love for it to have a hub-castles related to your choise of faction to also select events/gamemodes
If you would walk to the gate of the hub you can talk to someone to start a breach match through normal matchmaking
Duels at a training area or an arena somewhere on the map (like elden ring)
Arcade quests at training areas
Or a carosel like gamemode on specific areas on the map to conqor land for your faction.
(same goes for dominion at who knows where)

Guilds within the faction should decide where you train and where you can get specific moves and your bond to them should decide how much of their moveset you could use.
like "Standing" (progression points) in WarFrame unlocks more of a shop the guild has. So yes it would be grindy, but that means more hours to play in the game.

Specific marchal arts moves should be unlockables throughout the game. Shoulder Bash, Double Dodge, Backflips, Cartweels, TP deflects and so on..
they could be rewards for bounties given to you by the guild.
Or rewards by a training area though ARCADE quests that can force you to use the specific Moveset you want (to "train")
And if you completed enough quests you'll unlock it freely.

Huge events could be like invasions. Breach followed with a dominion match on the invaded land. The invasion stops when the breach match ended in a great defense (so its still attacker sided) but goes on to a dominion match if Attackers win. If attackers win again they will be greatly rewarded, if defenders win the attackers can try and retake it again with one round of Elimination (but rather something completely different tbh). If won by the attackers they can rematch the dominion ONLY ONCE.

Ofc there should be outposts throughout the map where you can set-up your own clan, 'cause your friends might not choose the same faction
therefore taking over/taking out one of these outposts could also be a event in this game. Clan vs Clan or group vs group.

Further there need to be resource gathering to even get your gear, which must be done by in the open world or else people wont explore it and you wont have pleasant or unpleasant encounters that make a game like this fun.

Aight I've been writing too much. Hope someone reads this..

I've been waiting for someone to bring this idea up. I've been wanting something similar to a custom character For Honor since I got into it.

My idea was based around 3 body types instead of armor, that the weapons would contain the move-sets (which would include all prior for honor weapons and their move-sets) instead of the heroes, and that while the move-set wasn't customizable (cause based off of my limited game dev experience, would be very difficult to keep a steady flow a new moves with animations) the modifiers were, but usually only for finisher or dodge attacks. Modifiers meaning things like Un-dodgeable, Armored, or un-Blockable

It would also have a point system like Mordhau, and depending on your body type, your character would specialize in a certain modifier. Large body would have more amrored modifiers, medium body would have more un-Blockable modifiers, and small body would have more un-dodgeable modifiers.

Bash attacks would be customizable, as in you can choose to have a quick bash or a charged one, probably more options. Obviously the charged bashes would cost a lot though cause of their easy 50/50s.

I do disagree with the whole "unlocking more points as you progress"
I think even a beginner should have all the options to be good right out of the gate as a player who has played a lot. Obviously, if the games fighting is balanced, then the new player will still lose due to skill. Instead, all custom characters should have a set amount of points, everyone has the same amount of points to use on customizing their characters.

If anything should be unlocked that actually has effect on gameplay, its the weapons. So out of the 30+ weapons, a new player would only have 4 to choose from, and with more play they will get more weapons to me more builds for. But those 4 starter weapons are still balanced and good enough that some 1000+ hour players would still use them, like Warden.
The devs can still sell new weapons (aka new heroes), cause we already have 30+ weapons (heroes) from the current game.

By the way, that now dead indie game called "blood of heroes" had a need Hub idea. They allowed each player their own custom 1v1 arena, which you unlocked new arenas from gameplay. Simply floor arenas, to ones with environmental hazards. I assume it was a 50/50 chance which player's arena was chosen when matchmaking.

Lastly, a cool RPG simple arcade mode type game could be like those top down RPGs when you're in the overworld (like wasteland 3 driving the Kodiak, or fallout 1&2). You move your character through a map like a chess piece, and when you come across different nodes you then actually go into the normal gameplay and fight AI with challenges. gives the player a bit more choice on what encounter they would rather have. Just a random idea that just came into my mind as I was writing.

Would love feedback on this if anybody has any.

Just that one guy Who is just there

I also wish that the weapons you acquire depend on the faction

Not the generic rock paper scissors way istead finding a weapons that matches your style

Also pls more armor for viking that accurate to the real life counterpart

The shields should be something that could be interplemented as a way to further aid light to medium type of armour but also limit them

Plus some weapons could be shared across some armor that not too ridiculos like seeying a guy with guts sword dodging like crazy would be insane

A further disposal of weapons for each faction that has their own variation

The problem is developing more viking-ish type of weapons without exageratting a little into the fantasy element

I love that you mentioned that you can't wear heavy armor if you took the Shinobi run. This would actually make all those classes we have relevant again.
For anyone wondering, yes we have classes in this game. Vanguard, Heavy, Assassin and Hybrid.
But they're not really important because no one has high damage or high health.

Edit: As far as Guts cosplay goes, Moron Abound has that covered.

Slanderous

link?

I top white boys

@Slanderous I second what white boy said

Welsh Crusade

Yeah, it stands to reason that assassins should embody light armour, but very agile. Vanguards should have high damage, and moderate health. Heavies should be tanky, but not have much mobility. Hybrids being halfway between two of them.

I’d love to see a Prequel to For Honor, I love the rustic, barebones, raw outfits/armor of the warriors at the start of the 3 way fight for water cinematic thing

Soldier of Dawn

The prequel that tells the story of the 1000 years would be more grounded by default without the risk of retconning anything.

Damien Blackburn

then we could get a spartan finally, its all the way back in the bronze age 400bc

Baba Rasul

Ubisoft's worst quality is that they always want you to have fun THEIR WAY. It's reflected in everything from gameplay to customization.
It would definitely save For Honor if the community was involved in the development and had the ability to mod it to some level.
The potential of this game is the reason most players keep playing.
We all want to believe that it WILL achieve that potential soon.
But until then, it's just pain...
