This took a while 🫣👉One of the biggest mistakes people make when working on big change is underestimating the power of those small, consistent actions that embed us in a new way of living. If we can focus on the small, daily steps in the process, the results start to take care of themselves. And when we take on the new process as a part of our identity, it no longer takes the conscious effort and motivation that it needed when you first started. It’s just who you are now.

Love how you use Origami to explain this! That resonates so much with me! I can often fail to step back and notice all the small steps taken and marvel at the little changes that can make such a difference. Instead, I live my life moment by moment, seemingly being the same person with the same struggles. This is why it is so important to pause, to create awareness of the efforts and progress in these moments, building a better relationship with ourselves, which, over time, takes on a life of its own. Then, we can start to compassionately accept ourselves and live from our authentic core.

This hit home, Dr. Julie! 🙌 we have a lot more agency in our healing than we believe. Small steps are the secret sauce to big changes, aren't they? It's like learning to play an instrument - practice a little every day, and before you know it, you're playing whole symphonies without even thinking about it. Really puts into perspective the power of habit and identity in our lives. Thanks for sharing this gem!

It's brilliant in the way you have put it. Often, we fall too hard on ourselves expecting us to make massive changes at once. You don't meet the end at once, you meet the end when go step by step.

DAMNNN YESSS, ! This insight speaks volumes about the transformative power of consistent, small actions. Often, when we embark on significant changes, we tend to overlook the importance of these incremental steps. Yet, it's these small, daily actions that gradually shape our habits and ultimately define our way of life.

It's brilliant in the way you have put it. Often, Telehealth therapists fall too hard on themselves and expect to make massive changes in their life at once. You don't meet the end at once, you meet the end when go step by step.Same theory applies for Remote Jobs. You won't find a job that gives you flexibility in 1 day. However, when you take the right steps, you will eventually land with one in maybe 1 month.

Baby steps, marginal gains, gradual improvements and whatever you want to call it.Trust in the power of the small consistent actions! Embrace the 1% Rule: Strive for marginal improvements each day. By aiming for just 1% progress, you'll avoid burnout and steadily move towards optimal wellbeing. Small actions, consistently applied, can yield substantial results over time. - This is well highlighted in the book Atomic Habits.Well said Masako.

Is completing everything you begin always the best approach? My perspective has shifted over time. If you've embarked on a journey with a particular intent and have derived the value you sought, perhaps it's time to gracefully step away from that experience and see what's next for ya than staying stuck for the sake of completion.

Sometimes, the best action is simply to take action. Many of us can find ourselves dedicating more time and energy to avoiding tasks or voicing concerns, rather than tackling the tasks head-on. Embracing the tasks we face can often lead to quicker resolutions and more productive outcomes. Let's focus on accomplishing what needs to be done and moving forward.

Waking up each day is a blessing, and it's crucial to make the most of every moment. Procrastination can hinder our progress, so it's essential to focus on being proactive. Effective planning and setting clear goals are key to success. It's beneficial to create SMART goals - Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound - to guide our actions and help us achieve what we set out to do.

Many tasks can seem overwhelming before you start them and can lead to procrastination and even a feeling of dread. Here’s a life-hack: Write out your “To Do” list, then categorize and prioritize all the tasks on your list. After that, break each task into manageable steps. This will prevent you from feeling flooded and allows you to better see your progress and feel productive!
