On 7th September 2022, Ezekiel Kelly broke into a car on the road of Memphis city and begin a mass shooting. He began his spree shooting early morning around 12:56 a.m. His first killed a man near Lyndale Avenue. Then for almost 14 hours, he kept on grooming on the roads of the city. And around 4:38 p.m a report was noted that a man is fatally shot on South Parkway East.
Then police checked the CCTV footage in which the suspected man Mr. Ezekiel was seen doing continuous shots at a local man and killing him. After two minutes of killing a man at South Parkway East, the woman got injured by facing gunshots on her legs at the intersection of Norris Road and Interstate 240. Then Ezekiel kept on driving his sedan car on Norris Road.
At 6 p.m of the evening, police reported that a man is found brutally injured outside of an AutoZone on Jackson Avenue with multiple bullets on his chest. Around 6 p.m Ezekiel came live on his Facebook where he was seen killing a man inside AutoZone and then running away from there.
Around 6:12 p.m police came to know from their intelligence that the suspected man is Ezekiel Kelly. Police forces then went on searching for Ezekiel. Police shared lots of warnings online and through radio stations but Ezekiel didn’t stop. He gunshot a woman on Popular Avenue around 7:23 p.m of the evening. After a few minutes, he injured one more man on the same street. At 9 p.m police found a woman injured on West Raines Road who died later.
After 9 p.m police got succeeded in tracing the location of Ezekiel and finally arrested him.
