First thing, if you going to design a banner is because you know your goal, if don't, get back to schooling.I mean, the most important skill you probably don't have in mind, is the clearance: You must have a setup for the best clear shapes and the font you should be use according to the logo of the mark you will highlight, if don't, you must to suggest your ideas to a perfect and certain image brand without forget the colors you need to engage with the usual stuff from the brand.You need to consider the use of the appropriate software to use fir this types of social media resources, I recommend some like Canva, Gravity InkScape or Google web design, due the sizes for each usage is one of the problems that I observe in advertirles.
