There are countless motorcycle events across the US for all motorcyclists and motorcycle builders to enjoy. From beach rallies to road ones, these events are held throughout the year in different parts of the country, bringing everyone together for some spectacular moments.

This is one of the most enjoyable sports to watch and participate in, so we’ve compiled a list of some of the top events in the US that you won’t want to miss.

Sturgis Motorcycle Rally

The Sturgis Motorcycle Rally is sponsored by Harley-Davidson, and it’s one of the biggest rallies in the world. It’s held annually in Sturgis, South Dakota and the Black Hills region, and the event takes place over 10 days.

In 1938, it was initiated by a group of Indian motorcycle riders, and it was originally held for stunts and races. Over the years, the rally has become an endeavor that consists of events put on by multiple groups. On average, approximately 500,000 people attend each event, with some attracting over 700,000.

Moto Beach Classic

Motorcycle racer and custom bike builder Roland Sands and his crew have been organizing rallies in Southern California since 2017. This rally features short-track racing on the sand in Huntington Beach, LA. It’s a one-day event which includes the best motocross riders, battling on a specially-built motocross track featuring supercross jumps and no turns.

Born-Free Motorcycle Show

The Born-Free show is a great platform to showcase your motorcycle customizing skills. This is an annual event which attracts riders and builders from around the world to show off custom bikes.

Founded by Mike Davis and Grant Peterson, Born-Free is an event for riders of custom vintage motorcycles. And every year, the community gathers to share their love of motorcycles.

Babes Ride Out

Babes Ride Out is a ladies-only motorcycle event, founded by Ashmore Ellis and Anya Violet (co-founder of Atwyld). The 3-day event began in 2013, and each year it’s held in a different city. The team have rented out the entire Palm Canyon Hotel and camping space as well as the Borrego Valley Inn hotel for women across the US to have a ‘girls' weekend’ away, enjoying motorcycle riding.

Daytona Beach Bike Week

Daytona Beach Bike Week is held in Florida by Daytona Beach. It’s an annual 10-day event, attended by hundreds of thousands of people. Motorcycle racing, concerts, parties and street festivals are all part of the festivities.

Since it was created in 1937, it has gained more and more traction, and it is now one of the country’s most popular motorcycle events and biker rallies. The first race held at Daytona was a 3.2-mile course featuring both the beach and pavement, and was won by Ed Kretz from California, who rode an Indian motorcycle.

The Moto Show

The Moto Show is in Portland, Oregon, and it’s known to showcase custom motorcycles and their builders. You’ll see everything from dirt bikes to cafe racers, and old-school choppers and bobbers. It also has local bands playing live, great entertainment and bike builders from across the world. There’s plenty to keep you entertained while watching the show.

Bama Bike Fest

Held in Forkland, Alabama, the Bama Bike Fist show runs not once but three times a year. This event includes all the old favorites like barrel roll contests. There is also a campground for attendees to sleep at for the duration of the event and a main stage with rock bands to keep everyone pumped.

Laconia Bike Week

This event is held at Lake Winnipesaukee, New Hampshire and it runs over nine days. It has roots dating back to 1916 and lately has attracted around 250,000 people. Its brilliant location in the New Hampshire countryside makes it a family-friendly bike event. Alongside the lake, there are bike shows, tribute bands, vendor booths and support from many motorcycle manufacturers.

Texas Bike Rally

Texas Bike Rally takes place in Austin, and it draws around 200,000 bikers. It’s a four-day event that features custom bike shows, musical entertainment, racing and camping. And it’s famous for its motorcycle parade that closes 50 blocks of downtown Austin.

Motorcycle protective armor

If you’re going to be participating in a motorcycle event, it’s important that you wear motorcycle armor to minimize the risk of injury in the event of a fall or crash. Ensure that you wear the following:
