He has over 100 acting, close to 30 writing and nearly 70 producing credits, and is perhaps known best for starring as Calvin Joyner in the 2016 action crime comedy movie “Central Intelligence”, which Rawson Marshall Thurber wrote and directed, and which also starred Dwayne Johnson and Danielle Nicolet. It follows an accountant who’s become involved in the world of international espionage, and the film won two of the 10 awards for which it was nominated.

Kevin and his brother Robert were raised in Philadelphia solely by their mother Nancy Hart who worked at the University of Pennsylvania, and died in 2007; Kevin’s father Henry Robert Witherspoon was a drug addict.
Kevin studied at George Washington High School and upon matriculating in 1997 enrolled at Community College of Philadelphia; he soon dropped out wanting to pursue comedy and moved to New York City.
Hart’s venture into the world of acting began with small roles in TV series such as “Undeclared” and “The Big House”, however, it was his performance in the 2003 horror comedy film “Scary Movie 3” that made him popular.
Another one of his breakthrough roles was in the 2008 movie “Fool’s Gold”, in which he starred alongside Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson. Although the film received mixed reviews, Hart’s performance was praised for bringing humor into the action-comedy.
