About The PositionThe Operations Manager at EME will be instrumental in steering our journey towards global influence, operational excellence, and transactional reliability. This leadership role requires a strategic thinker with a robust track record in navigating complex operational landscapes, fostering stakeholder relationships, and ensuring service excellence. You will be central to shaping our operational strategy, driving sustainability efforts, and leading our team through growth and challenges in a dynamic startup environment.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the CEO to strategize and execute plans for global market penetration and sustainable growth.
• Enhance operational processes for increased scalability, efficiency, and customer satisfaction, supporting an expanding user base.
• Direct a team responsible for the seamless execution of our matchmaking service, ensuring rigorous provider vetting, smooth logistical operations, and effective dispute management.
• Cultivate a network of suppliers, stakeholders, and service providers aligned with our sustainability and ethical standards.
• Spearhead initiatives for continuous platform improvement, informed by operational insights to better serve our users and the environment.
• Manage and resolve transactional disputes, utilizing negotiation and insurance mechanisms to protect company interests.
• Guide the operational team's growth, transitioning towards a refined organizational structure equipped for global market demands.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a leadership role, preferably as an Operations Manager, with a history of scaling SaaS platforms and leading international operations.
• Deep commitment to sustainability and resource management principles, integrating them into strategic and operational practices.
• Exceptional leadership qualities, with the ability to unite diverse teams towards a culture of innovation, responsibility, and sustainability.
• Expertise in operational strategy, process optimization, and delivering customer satisfaction.
• Proficient in conflict resolution, risk management, and collaborating with insurance for risk mitigation.
• Availability for extensive travel to ensure adherence to operational standards and strengthen partner relations.
• Residency in the Netherlands, ready to lead a dynamic team in a rapidly evolving setting.

Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in operations management, preferably within a SaaS or technology-driven environment.
• Demonstrated success in leading teams, scaling operations, and implementing process improvements.
• Strong background in sustainability practices and resource management.
• Experience working in international markets and managing cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with startup environments and the agility they require.
